Pennsylvania walnut lock box, dated 1803, the lid inlaid with a date within a heart above meandering tulip vines, 10" h., 22" w., 13 3/4" d. Provenance: Christie's, The Collection of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Flack, September 6, 1997, lot 211; Acquired from a family in Quakertown, Pennsylvania.
Minor surface abrasion. One blowout repair to one hinge. 2 1/2" of backboard replaced.
