Pennsylvania painted poplar two piece corner cupboard, ca. 1780, the upper section with a boldly carved cornice with fluted dentils, above an arched glazed door, resting on a base with two drawers, two raised panel doors and a stepped molded plinth, the case profusely decorated with carved asterisks and fluting, retaining an old blue painted surface, the interior also retaining an original vibrant salmon paint, 90 1/2" h., 57" w. Original brasses. One drawer replaced. One pane cracked. One section of side base molding replaced. Wood strip under door replaced. Hinges replaced.
