Lancaster County, Pennsylvania silk on linen needlework sampler, ca. 1796, inscribed Sarah Lefever daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Lefever made this sampler in the 15th year of her age, also initialed SPH, possibly for Sarah Pusey Harvey, Lampeter School, with vibrant alphabet and verse centered by a trailing floral vine with unicorns and lions, 14" x 12 1/4".
