Pennsylvania painted poplar dower chest, late 18th c., probably Berks County, the front decorated with white panels displaying potted flowers on a blue/green ground above two drawers supported by bracket feet, 27 1/2" h., 47 3/4" w. Provenance: Pennsylvania Educational Institution.
Three brasses replaced. Repairs to front foot facings. Feet and molding replaced on one side. Surface abrasions.
