Lancaster County, Pennsylvania painted poplar blanket chest, 19th c., retaining its original sponged star and heart decoration, stamped by its maker Henry E. Martin, 25 1/2" h., 48" w., sold together with a ledger book with some family notes and a photograph of Henry Martin. Depth - 21 7/8" (case), 23" (top). Good condition. Interior cedar lined (border is tacked, all the inside boards are probably glued, boards ar tongue and groove). No other apparent condition issues.
