Pennsylvania painted dower chest dated 1780, probably Northampton County, the lift lid over a case, inscribed "Margreta Diefenderfer, over 2 clover panels and 2 short drawers supported by bracket feet, 26 3/4" h., 48" w., 20 1/2" d.
Lacking till and lock. 3" section of molding on lid reattached. Restoration to both drawers.
