Pennsylvania painted dough box on legs, ca. 1820, the lift top overhanging a base with flaring turned legs, retaining its original orange and ochre grain decorated surface, 29 1/4" h., 48" w. This is an excellent example of this form. Provenance: John Garrison; Yonder Hill Dwellers Auction.
