, the bonnet top with applied shell and fluted pilasters, the tombstone panel doors enclosing a fitted interior, resting on a fall front base with shell carved interior supported by ogee bracket feet, 96 1/4" h., 40" w. Purportedly descended in the family of Edward Shippen Burd (1779-1848) of Philadelphia. Finials and fall front replaced. Yellow pine secondaries. Brasses are period replacements. Some restoration and reconstruction to drawer bottoms. Bottom half of feet pieced.
