Pennsylvania molded redware jar, Mechanicsburg, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, mid 19th c., the front and back with recessed panels with relief figures of George Washington, inscribed "Washington", the sides with relief figures of hunter and deer, inscribed "Swope Pottery" (Henry Swope), with overall manganese splash decoration on an orange glaze ground, the base impressed "GALL", 9 1/4" h.
