Possibly Bedford County, Pennsylvania full stock percussion long rifle, approximately .46 caliber, converted from flintlock, with tiger maple stock, four-piece engraved brass patchbox, trigger guard, crescent butt plate and side plate, the cheek rest with a silver engraved eagle medallion, three oblong lozenges, and a shield form thumb escutcheon, a homemade sharp shooter sight dovetailed into the barrel, the forestock is of two parts with a brass endplate on one side of the section which appears to be original, lock is unmarked, set trigger, 38 1/2" octagonal barrel. Two tight cracks on forestock at muzzle, overall very good condition.
