Bedford County, Pennsylvania full stock flintlock long rifle, attributed to Joseph Mills, approximately .46 caliber, having a carved tiger maple stock, with seventeen German silver inlays, an engraved brass three-piece patch box, crescent butt plate, side plate, trigger guard and nose cap, the cheek rest centered by scroll and chip carving, the lock inscribed JM in script, 45" octagonal barrel.
Overall very good condition, several tight lines in fore stock, 1/4" x 2 1/2" patch to stock just in front of side plate, last 15" of forestock at muzzle is replaced, lock appears to be contemporary.
