Berks County, Pennsylvania diamond in a square patchwork quilt, late 19th c., 74" x 74". Provenance: The Collection of Dr. Carl Mogil, Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Approximately 7 stitches per inch. Very good condition. One end was folded over a hanging bar at one point and this resulted in some discoloration to the small strip of fabric across the length that had no light on it. There is still a fold at the top where it was hung, but we removed the seam so it lays flat now. Small spot stain. Some wrinkling to center crease. Catalogued in the Berks County Historical Society quilt raisonné - label on back affixed after it was catalogued.
