Pennsylvania cross stitch embroidered pillowcase, inscribed Esther Charles, June the 8. 1834, 25" x 16 3/4", together with an embroidered pillowcase, inscribed Samuel Smoker 1888, 28 1/2" x 19 1/2". Provenance: The first purchased at an auction for Susan Huber, December 14, 1985 on Plum Street, Lancaster; the second purchased from Mary Goetz, Morgantown 1988.
