Pennsylvania Chippendale walnut slant front desk, ca. 1780, the fall front enclosing an amphitheater interior with shell carved prospect door, over a case with 4 drawers supported by ogee bracket feet, 43 3/4" h., 37" w., 20" d. One of 4 desks by the same maker (name unknown). Provenance: Worell Family, Kennett Square, Pa; Philip Bradley.
Feet replaced. Shim added to board - separation in top. Brasses replaced. 3" x 1" patch to side of case. A few small lip repairs.
