Pennsylvania Chippendale walnut dining chair, ca. 1765, the shell carved cupid's bow crest over a pierced splat and trapezoidal slip seat supported by cabriole legs terminating in ball and claw feet, retaining an old dry surface.
Small repairs to back of crest rail where it broke out. Original seat frame. Corner block replaced. Knee blocks replaced. Old cracks to top of leg. Great old surface. Feet worn. 16 1/4" seat height, 38 3/4" height to back, 22" seat width, 16 3/4" seat depth.
