Pennsylvania Chippendale tiger maple slant front desk, ca. 1770, the fall front enclosing a fitted interior with tombstone panel prospect door over a case with four drawers and bracket feet, 43" h., 37 1/2" w. Provenance: Collection of Lorena and Herb Ader.
Period script under interior drawer reads "Enoch Roberts". Prospect door hinges replaced. Brasses replaced/wrong holes but cover a 19th c. wooden knob hole. Lacking top drawer lock. Feet replaced.
