Pair of Georgian mahogany serpentine front knife boxes, late 18th c., with herringbone inlaid edges and silver plaques with engraved rampant stag, 14 1/2" h., 9 1/2" w.
Parts: keys, wood fragments. Has some cracking in veneer on lid but no loss. Small 3/4" repair to barber pole inlay at edge of top. 2.5" loss to veneer on interior lip. Other interior has a cracked divider. Fantastic rampant stag engraved plated on lids.
