Pair of Federal mahogany side chairs, ca. 1795, each with a shield back, over an upholstered seat with scalloped front rail supported by square tapering legs, retaining old, if not original, horsehair stuffing and brass tacking.
Total height - 37 1/2". Seat height - 18". Losses to upholstery. #1 - repaired breaks to crest and left splat, corner blocks replaced. #2 - one rear leg replaced.
