Pair of English flintlock dueling pistols, 18th c., approx. .50 cal., with two silver bands at breech and lion mask silver butt caps , initialed thumb escutcheon, the barrel stamped London, the ornate flintlock stamped Sutherland with safety mechanism, and English walnut stock with checkered grips, 9 1/4" octagonal smoothbore barrels.

Parts: additional information. Ramrods do not match. Period mahogany fitted case with powder flask, bullet mold, extra flints, cleaning rod, ball remover, touch-hole pick, box with owner escutcheon with name engraved T. Anderson. Period label on interior. Stamped London on the barrel.
