Pair of Baltimore Federal mahogany dining chairs, ca. 1800, each with a bellflower chain inlaid back and over-upholstered seat supported by square tapering molded legs.
37" h., 20" w., and 18 1/2" (seat height). #1 - two old repaired breaks to stile. #2 - area of heavier wear to crest, upholstery torn, old damask over linen. Both have a nice old patina. Upholstery is not new.
