Painted poplar dome lid trunk, 19th c., probably Southern States, retaining its original red and black decoration, the lid with two figures with horses and interlacing loop bands, above and below, the façade with a house, trees, animals, and trumpeting figure, 14'' h., 31'' w.
One end with 1 1/2" x 7" cuttout hole. Otherwise light expected wear.
