Painted poplar blanket chest, early/mid 19th c., probably Ohio, the front and sides with unusual stylized trees, flowers, and hearts, above an elaborately scalloped apron supported by bracket feet, 28" h., 47 1/2" w.
Butt hinges have been changed. Lacking lock and keeper. Several spurs replaced. Several age cracks. 5" x 1/4" patch at key hole.
