Paestan red figure krater, 4th c. B.C., with unusual figures and detailing, 7 3/4" h. Provenance: The Collection of John Kluge, Charlottesville, Virginia, acquired in the 1980s and later purchased in 2016 from Explorer Ancient Art, New York. Lot includes relevant paperwork.
Intact. No apparent damages. Provenance: A Pennsylvania estate. All of the ancient art and antiquities in this sale are from the same estate. An ancient art specialist was brought in from New York to assist with authenticating and describing the pieces in the collection.
