Outstanding Winchester model 1873 3rd model rifle, 44-40 caliber, manufactured in 1882, with a straight walnut stock with sling swivel, exhibits 98% of original blue to all blued parts including barrel, magazine and receiver, with the hammer and lever showing strong case colors, walnut stocks are in excellent condition, this gun appears to be unfired, with a 24'' octagonal barrel with bright bore and strong rifling. SN# 92950.
Excellent overall condition, the bolt head, chamber and bore do not show evidence of being fired, all are clean and polished as new, some light corrosion on the forward half on the side barrel flats, minor surface scratches to the right side of the receiver, legend and markings are clear and crisp as are the edges, forend shows one small 1/4'' dent to the left side.
