Outstanding Winchester model 1866 lever action saddle ring carbine, .44 rimfire caliber, third model, ca. 1870, having a straight walnut stock, brass receiver and crescent butt plate with nice warm deep golden patina, two leaf folding rear sight, all matching serial numbers appear on the lower tang, upper inside channel of the butt stock as well as inside of the butt plate, 20'' barrel with full length magazine tube. SN 47343 This ''yellow boy'' model 1866 was the first gun produced bearing the Winchester name.

Condition

Retains 99% of the original blue on barrel and magazine, barrel legends are very clear, stock is overall fine, mechanically excellent with a brilliant bore with sharp rifling, 100% all original.
