Ohio painted cherry blanket chest, mid 19th c., retaining its original decoration, with vibrant green panels with floral decoration, the side panels with rampant lions, 24 3/4" h., 36" w. Provenance: A central Pennsylvania collection.

Condition

Small blowout to front of breadboard end. Loss to side base molding. Crack to one breadboard end. No apparent touch-up. 2" wide board runs across back edge of top and appears to be original but color does not match the rest of the top.
