Ohio half stock percussion long rifle, approximately .42 caliber, the foreend with silvered plate inscribed United We Stand Divided We Fall Jacob Jamison 1890 Constitution, the right butt stock with small round patchbox surrounded by twenty-three stars, heart and stag, the opposing side with a compass surrounded by twenty-one stars, stag's head, dog, and heart, the side lock stamped Ohio with faint scrolled decoration remaining, set triggers, 34" octagonal barrel. Provenance: An Ohio Collection.

Condition

Overall length - 50 5/8". Crack with old repair to wrist, crack forward of the lock plate, crack forward of the trigger guard, small loss to forestock at cap, loss to antlers on stag, small loss below dog, one star appears to be a replacement, loss to tip of ramrod and does not com out of release from channel, does not stay cocked, converted from flintlock.
