Objets de virtu to include chatelaine, 2 snuff boxes, miniature portrait on ivory, an etui, sugar tongs, Georgian leather traveling sewing kit, 3 1/4" h., and a pair of miniature wooden shoes. Provenance: Edgar & Charlotte Sittig, 1987. A copy of the original invoice accompanies the lot.

Condition

Parts: Receipt. The two snuff boxes are approximately 3” high and the first is marked sterling and has lovely MW engraved initials. The second metal box is in less than perfect condition with paint chips and is shut tight. While it could be pried, it is not easily opened. The miniature portrait on ivory pendant has glass “diamonds” encircling the face and is approximately 1 ½” h x 1” w. The delicate silver sugar tongs are 5” x 2”. The sewing kits are approximately 3 ‘’ and 3 ½ “ respectively. The wood shoes are in excellent condition and are 4 “ long. The scissors are 5” long with a sterling clip attached by a chain. The clip has an engraving with the initials HWM. Good condition. No apparent damages or repairs.Pendant 1810c. Scissors 1820c. Sewing kit 1860c. Sterling sewing kit 1810c.
