Oaks of London three-barrel flintlock pistol, approximately .43 caliber, with 3 1/2" rifled barrels.
Right side of box lock marked "Oakes" over "London" with left side engraved with flage and cannon motif. The underside of the frame is marked with London proofs and the number "3". Each of the three barrels has eight grooves and are controlled by a side lever which moves the touch holes. There is a safety at the back of the cock. A silver grip escutcheon is marked "SS".
