Newport, Rhode Island silk on linen needlework sampler, inscribed "Ruth Hazard Born August 6 1777 made this in May 27, 1791", with alphabet bands and center band with a manor house and courting couple, 11 3/4" x 8 1/2".
Overall very good condition. Overall slight browning to the background.
