New York red and white jacquard coverlet by Asahel Amora Phelps, the eagle corner blocks inscribed "Delhi. 1846. Jane. Schermerhorn", the border with birds, willows, flowers, and potted flowers, the interior with pineapple medallions and sunbursts, 104" x 80". This lot is pictured in Coverlets by Melinda Zongor and Joseph D. Shein, pgs. 118 and 119.
Overall very good/excellent condition. A very few small losses to red.
