New Jersey silk on linen needlework, probably Burlington County, inscribed "Eufemea Moore August 28th 1816", with large central floral tree over a manor house, flanked by willow trees, all within a meandering leaf and floral border worked in a variety of stitches in green, gold, blue, yellow, and tan, 20" x 16 1/2". For further information see Girlhood Embroidery by Ring, pgs. 476-486. Overall very good condition. Staining around border and some in right center and along lower edge. Very minor stitch loss.
