New Jersey mahogany tall case clock ca. 1795, the case attributed to Matthew Egerton Jr., the broken arch bonnet enclosing an 8-day works with painted face and moon phase, above a case inlaid with urn, conch shell, and spread winged eagle, 96 1/2" h. Descended in a Paterson, NJ family to the present owner.

Condition

Parts: two weights, winder, pendulum, key to case (bonnet does not take a key). Crack to one side panel (glass) on bonnet. Some minor flakes to paint on moon phase. 1/4" x 2" loss to veneer on case above door. No chimes. We do not guarantee the working condition of clocks. Originally owned by Harman Van Dien, b. 1767. Family history accompanies lot.
