New Jersey ladderback armchair, ca. 1790, with five boldly scalloped and reverse graduated slats, a rush seat, and a baluster and ring turned medial stretcher, retaining a black painted surface.
Dimensions: 17 1/4" h. (seat height), 21 1/2" w, 17" d. Later painted surface. Otherwise very good condition.
