New Hampshire painted pine hanging wall box, dated 1830, retaining its original floral and bird decoration on a yellow sponged ground, with black and yellow striping, the back dated and initialed BW, 21" h., 14" w. An example by the same hand is in the collection of Cogswell Grant. Provenance: The Collection of Edson J. Brown and Ross M. Trump, Medina, Ohio.
Chip to corner of drawer. Otherwise very good untouched condition.
