New England William and Mary painted pine blanket chest, ca. 1735, retaining its original red and yellow swirl decoration, 42" h., 38" w. Provenance: A Minnesota Estate.
Top a little warped. Lacking lock. Brasses replaced. A couple patches to applied molding on front of case. One side base molding replaced. Patch to other side base molding. A couple strips of new wood added to underside. Original feet.
