New England painted nautical ships desk box, with scene on lid, inscribed Riding the Nantucket Camel, Whale Ship"Peru" laden with sperm oil, the scene flanked by nautical tools and a Native American Indian and sailor, the top inscribed The Earth is full of thy Riches, so is the Great and Wide Sea, Psalm 104, 7 1/2" h., 15" w. 19th c. box with later decoration (old box, newer paint). Very good condition. No apparent damages or repairs.
