New England painted basswood storage box, ca. 1810, of nailed construction with overall green and ivory stippled decoration resting on a lower base molding, 6 1/4" h., 12" w., 7 1/4" d. Provenance: Joe Kindig Jr. & Son Antiques.
Back is also stippled. Normal wear to molding. Never had feet. Blow-out to lid at catch. Hinges replaced. Missing till. Overall very good condition.
