New England cherry apothecary cabinet, early 19th c., with 15 drawers, 21 1/2" h., 21 1/2" w.
One return molding replaced. Chestnut secondary. Losses and replacements to knob (1 knob missing, 1 knob not the same, about 50:50 old and replacements). Drawers are dovetailed. Backboard has square cut nails. Right side - two 1" cracks from bottom. Left side - erosion/dry rot along 3/4's at bottom 1 1/4" high. All three backboards are cracked (top, end to end; mid&bottom 1/3 from end. No warpage. Right rear corner eroded. No evidence of stripping or scraping.
