New England carved and painted pine sailor's chest, mid 19th c., the lid decorated with a spread winged eagle and American shield, over a dovetailed case with two facing serpents, 11" h., 38" w.
Lacking right side handle. Repaired breaks at hinges. Back corner of lid with 1" diagonal cut. Interior till lid with 1/4" loss.
