Nelson Lewis, Troy, New York percussion half stock target rifle, approximately .44 caliber, having a back action lock, walnut stock with patchbox and cheek rest, Swiss style butt plate, engraved serpentine hammer, rear tang sporting sight, with dovetailed blade front sight and set triggers, 29 5/8" octagonal barrel with false muzzle. Provenance: The Firearms & Militaria Collection of Robert Spangler Jr., West Chester, Pennsylvania.
Very good overall condition, metal turning plum, handling marks to stock, three 2" age cracks in forend of stock, replaced ramrod.
