Montgomery County, Pennsylvania Queen Anne walnut tall case clock, ca. 1770, the sarcophagus bonnet with gilt flame finials enclosing an 8-day fully engraved brass face works with a name boss inscribed, Jacob Godschalk Towamencin, above a waist with a highly figured arched door resting on a plain base supported by ogee bracket feet, 94" h.

Condition

Top section of sarcophagus is an early replacement. Repaired break to corner of door. Feet are original but reattached. Pook & Pook, Inc. does not guarantee clocks to be complete or in working condition. Provenance: Estate of Walter Bott Loucks Jr., York, Pennsylvania.
