Fine miniature Pennsylvania painted pine blanket chest, ca. 1810, with allover shell decoration on a green ground, having red and yellow pinstripes with gilt and ivory highlights, the interior fitted with drawer retaining the original mustard surface, stenciled on the interior of the lid Miss M. A. Smith, 7 3/4" h., 12 1/2" w., 7 3/4" d. Provenance: Frank Ewing, Downingtown, PA, 1956; Titus Geesey family to current consignor.
