Scarce Merwin & Hulbert first model Frontier single action revolver, .44 M & H caliber, nickel plated, open top with scoop fluted cylinder, early model with detent pin on the barrel release lever, inscribed with single line Merwin & Hulbert address and patent line, the left side of the barrel with single line Hopkins & Allen address, mother of pearl grips with lanyard ring, 7" barrel. SN #6118.
Overall very good condition, bright bore with strong rifling, retains 90% original nickel, small chips to toe of each grip, indexes correctly and locks up tight.
