Massive two handled stoneware jug, 19th c., impressed "Sipe & Sons Winsport Pa" with cobalt grape decoration, the reverse with a large floral spray, 20 1/2" h. Illustrated in Schaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pg. 60, referred to as "one of a kind".
3" hairline at base rim. 8" hairlines at base rim and 12" hairline at base rim, which extends through bottom.
