Massive carved limestone fireplace mantel, early 19th c., from the Robert Reid Cochran (1771-1861) family homestead Oak Dale Farm, Cadiz, Ohio, inscribed Liberty over initials GIS, with heavy foliate vine, attributed to stone carver William V.S. Roberts (1780-1859), 69" h., 73" w., 4" d., opening is 43 1/2" h., 49" w. Provenance: Kelly Kinzle Antiques, New Oxford, Pennsylvania; Lewis Fenley "Dusty" Parker, Edmund, Oklahoma.
