Massive carved giltwood spread winged eagle figure, ca. 1810, 27" h., 60" w.
Sporadic losses and abrasions. One wing has chips where it meets body. Back side of same wing has repaired break. Several holes to backside from previous mountings. Original gold leaf under present surface. Wood is pine. Provenance: Lots 290 through 529 come from the collection of Charlene Sussel, Garret Park, Maryland.
