Massachusetts wrought iron chopper and shingle axe, ca. 1800, impressed Abial Thomas, the chopper with a brass inlaid heart on the handle, 6 1/2" l., 10 3/4" l. Abial Thomas is listed as a blacksmith in Popes Point shortly after the revolution.
