Massachusetts molded full-bodied copper Indian Massasoit weathervane by J. Harris & Company, Boston (1851-1875), with a feather headdress and traditional attire, holding an arrow in his right hand and bow in his left, retaining original verdigris surface, 31" h., 24 3/4" w. Massasoit was chief of the Wampanaog tribe in southern Massachusetts. Provenance: Morristown, New Jersey antique show.
