Massachusetts Federal mahogany tall case clock, ca. 1800, the eight day works signed Simon Willard, 92" h. Sold with the approval of the Board of Trustees of the Philadelphia Museum of Art to benefit acquisition funds.

Condition

Fretwork is an early replacement. Bottom board attached over original board that was shattered. Repaired breaks to feet. One side facing replaced. One rear facing probably ended out. Trim nails added to secure veneer to bonnet door. Movement appears to be original to case. Pook & Pook does not guarantee clocks to be complete or in working condition.

Items purchased for a third-party must be paid for by the purchaser of record, regardless of whether the purchaser of record has received funds from the third-party. The purchaser of record cannot be changed on an invoice post-auction.
